The first-person shooter video games known as “Call of Duty: Black Ops” (sometimes shortened to “Black Ops”) are part of the larger Call of Duty franchise. Treyarch was the primary developer. The games were famous for their secret missions, espionage themes, and Cold War and other conflict era settings, as well as their popular Zombies survival mode. With the release of the first Black Ops in 2010, the story and gameplay have been carried over into sequels such as Black Ops II and Black Ops 6.
