Ares, the God of War, tricks Kratos into murdering his own family in the God of War tale. As a result, Kratos becomes the Ghost of Sparta. In his quest for vengeance, Kratos razes the Greek Pantheon and makes his way to Norse mythology. There he has a kid named Atreus, battles his anger, and tries to put the past in the past all while going on a quest to grant his dying wife’s dream.
