Madagascar is mostly a platformer with aspects of combat, puzzles, and stealth. While Gloria the hippo, Melman the giraffe, and Alex the lion can also be controlled in different stages, Marty the zebra is the primary character that the user controls. Every character in the game have unique abilities.
